Responding to an Active Shooter Incident: Buffalo Crossroads Clinic
The Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic experienced an active shooting on Feb. 9, 2021 that tragically took the life of an employee, resulted in the injury of four team members and deeply affected the Buffalo Crossroads team. Allina Health’s communicators needed to quickly support internal employees while balancing the many requests of external stakeholders, including the media.
